A Middle-Eastern Breakfast Dish
1 can chickpeas and fava beans
2 garlic cloves, chopped finely
1/8 bunch of flat leaf parsley, chopped
Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
1/2 Lemon, squeezed
4 tbsps. Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Add the can of fava beans and chickpeas with the liquid to a large pot, add enough water to cover the fava beans and chickpeas. Bring to a boil then lower to medium heat and cook for roughly 3-5 minutes.
- Crush the garlic cloves and salt in a large bowl with a mortar. Add the lemon juice, strained fava beans and chickpeas, pepper, parsley, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, mix and serve!
